Tonight was our first pre-marital counseling session. I was a bit nervous before hand because I didn't quite know what to expect. We were given a little workbook, and it feels a little like having to do homework before class. And some of the questions I didn't really feel comfortable with sharing with someone other than Rhonda.
As we got into it though, it was actually quite a bit easier to get into. We didn't really go over any of the book today, but I think I'm getting a better feel for this. I was always worried that pre-marital counseling would bring up things that were boring, or areas of contention that have to be worked out lest they ruin your marriage. Instead it reenforced to us the very reasons that we want to get married in the first place.
Maybe they just make the first week easy to sucker you in.
